Mak Cik Hasnah is a 74-year-old woman who earns RM300 monthly by driving children to school in her old and broken Perodua car. This job, while providing her income, poses a safety risk to both her and the children due to her age and the car’s condition. We believe it’s time for her to stop this dangerous job and focus on her health and well-being.
To support her long-term, we aim to collect RM30 from 30 donors monthly for 12 months. This will provide her with RM900 monthly, replacing her current income and ensuring she has enough funds to:
• Cover essential expenses like food and utilities.
• Pay for hospital visits and medication.
• Handle emergencies.
Mak Cik Hasnah also receives RM300 from zakat, qualifying her as asnaf. With RM900 monthly, she will no longer need to risk her health and safety to earn a living.
Our pledge structure:
• RM30 monthly for 12 months.
• Option to renew or discontinue the pledge after the 12-month period.
While groceries and other assistance are important, we believe sustainable financial support is key to securing her well-being. Together, we can help her live a dignified and comfortable life in her golden years.
